Having downloaded the latest build from Graphicall.org there is some functionality that makes 2.5 essential in my quest for an easy editing system: Using the file browser open on video file and audio file directories and being able to drag files from these on to the time line.
The are three problems with my new layout.
Firstly, the File Browser windows do not remember where they were when you reopen the blend file.
Secondly, the preview window which I currently have set to a channel would be far more useful if it was set to the channel of a selected clip.
Thirdly, audio. There is no way or monitoring the audio levels. This is a big problem, and seeing as you cant export the audio mix to any other program, this renders the audio mixing in blender rather useless.
Lastly, can I have my old spacebar functionality back please.
There is a possiblity that all of these problems could be addressed in python and I have seen a number of tutorials looking at changing the UI in python. I am not the best programmer in the world so this will be interesting.
(oh and I still can't fine audio scrub, I'm sure its somewhere.)
